Misfits and Weirdos

Posted by Greg Murphy on

Today has already been a long day and I’m writing this at 7:30am :(I have a weird kind of sleep issue where I can’t get back to sleep if I wake up. This means I don’t need alarms in the morning… but it also means that I am insanely jealous of people that can sleep in until 9am on a Saturday. This particular morning I woke up at 4 and I couldn’t get back to sleep.Yesterday was the biggest day of online sales we have had in awhile so I went in to work to get a jumpstart on the day.Then...

Books, Dogs, Dreams, and Excrement

My daughter wants a German Shepherd, but she isn’t going to get one.I’ve always tried to talk to Syd like she was a person. At 9 years old, I think she appreciates it.The other morning at breakfast, she asked me if she could have a German Shepherd. Before we go any further, we have a very strict no pets policy at our house. (She has a snake, but it doesn’t count. I would rather do...

This Month's Booksale Went Super Well!

Posted by Greg Murphy on

We look forward to the booksale every month, because it just isn’t the same as selling books online. It’s just not even close :)You get to actually serve people and see them happy because of the work you did.Although we sell way way WAY more books on the interwebs than we do at our in person sale, it’s getting to see folks leave the shop with a smile that makes it worth the effort. We had a survey we did last month… and we got a bunch of responses. The biggest thing people wanted was to have more time to shop.So we are going...
